The Camino Fisterra is an itinerary linking Santiago de Compostela with Cap Finisterre, or Land's End, the end of the world, there where the sun sets.
This mythical place on the very edge of Western Europe marks the end of the earthly path and the beginning of an interior renewal for many using the Ways. An ancient tradition of pilgrims having reached this spot burning their clothes and sandals as a sign of complete renewal of themselves is still practised today.
The itinerary is signposted, and usually described in practical guides to the route.
