More and more cyclists are taking to the routes to Santiago de Compostela. Last year, more than 6% of the 350,000 people who reached the Galician capital arrived by bike.

Fast, environmentally friendly and stimulating, there is no better way to meet other people and let yourself dream as the scenery passes by.


The Vézelay route - V56

From Vézelay, discover a new cycle route to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, closer than ever to the authentic Via Lemovicensis pilgrimage route.


On the V56 - Saint James cycle route, you will have the opportunity to visit sacred and famous places such as the Basilica of Sainte-Marie Madeleine in Vézelay, the Priory of La Charité-sur-Loire, the Basilica of Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre or the Church of Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat... all of these legendary sanctuaries are registered on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List as part of the "routes of Santiago de Compostela in France".

The Scandiberique 

From Trondheim to St James, the Scandibérique is the longest cycle road in France (1600 kilometers). In Spain, it follows all the Camino Francés until Cape Finisterre.
